The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to report on the published information on the fears of citizens about the destruction of a historic building in St. Petersburg

In social networks, the intention of concerned residents of St. Petersburg to appeal to the Leadership of the Russian Investigative Committee was reported. The appeal is related to the threat of destruction of the historic building - the House of Princess Shakhovskaya, founded at the beginning of the 19th century. Residents claim that many years the building has not been reconstructed and it is being destroyed, so its demolition is being prepared. Residents ask for legal protection of the building including all its historical outbuildings.

Mr. Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, Chairman of the IC of Russia instructed Ms. M. G. Parastaeva, Acting Head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for St. Petersburg, to evaluate the arguments of citizens and present a report on the situation.
