The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to report on the progress of the investigation into the death and injury of people in fires in a number of regions

On December 4, 2022, the bodies of the owner of the house and two children born in 2017 and 2018 were found after the fire was extinguished in a residential building of the Karagay village, Perm Krai. Currently, Investigators and Forensic Specialists are detecting all the circumstances of the tragedy; a criminal case has been launched in accordance with Part 3, Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inflicting death by negligence to two or more persons). The Chairman of the IC of Russia instructed Mr. Safonov V.A., Acting Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Perm Krai, to submit a report on the progress of the investigation.

In addition, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed Mr. Zuderman V.D., Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Orenburg Oblast, to report on the preliminary results of the criminal investigation on the death of four people in a fire in Orenburg Oblast (Part 3, Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - inflicting death by negligence to two or more persons). The bodies of a man and a woman aged 42 and 43, as well as two children aged 1 and 9, were found in a house in the Orenburg city after a fire was extinguished.

In addition, Mr. Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin instructed Mr. M.V. Mokshin Head of the Investigative Directorate Of the IC for Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug Yugra, to submit a report on the detected circumstances during the criminal investigation on the collapse of a residential building part in the Nizhnevartovsk city (Part 3, Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - inflicting death by negligence). On December 4, 2022, there was an explosion in one of the apartments of the residential building located in Mira Street in Nizhnevartovsk, subsequently followed by a partial collapse of the 2nd and 3rd floors in the 3rd entrance of the mentioned house.

In addition, the Head of the Department instructed Mr. Shchurov A.P., Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Yaroslavl Oblast, to submit a report on the circumstances of injury to citizens as a result of household gas explosion in one of the residential buildings in Yaroslavl. The Investigating Authorities of the Investigative Directorate of the Russian Federation for Yaroslavl Oblast launched a criminal case in accordance with paragraph "c", Part 2, Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (performance of work that does not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers).
