The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to launch a criminal case on the collapse of residential building's part in Ryazan

On December 9, 2022, a ceiling collapse occurred in a two-story residential building in the Ryazan city, as a result of which two people were injured. On this fact, the Investigating Authorities of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Ryazan Oblast organized a procedural inspection. Within the procedure, an inspection of the scene was made, all residents of the apartment building were interviewed, fragments of gas pipes and gas equipment were seized, forensic and fire-technical forensic examinations were appointed.

The Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed Mr. Nikeshkin V.A., Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Ryazan Oblast, to launch a criminal investigation into the incident and report on the detected circumstances. The investigation and its results are the subject to control in the Main Directorate of the Department.
