The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to report on the procedural decisions taken in the criminal case on the murder of a woman in Samara Oblast

Critical attitude has been expressed on social media relative to the imposition of a lenient sentence on the killer of a woman in Samara Oblast and the lack of criminal prosecution of his relatives, who allegedly covered him. The Investigating Authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Samara Oblast investigated this criminal case on the murder of a woman, and a foreign citizen was charged with a crime prescribed in Part 1, Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation within the criminal investigation. The verdict found the mentioned acused man guilty of murder and sentenced to 6 years in prison. Also, during the investigation, it was confirmed that he escaped after the crime and made an attempt to cross the Russian Federation state border, having acquired an electronic ticket for aireplane through his relative. Based on the results of the inspection, the Investigating Authorities decided to refuse to launch a criminal case against the relatives of the convict.
