The media reported that a resident of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast disagrees with the preliminary findings of the criminal investigation on the death of her 21-year-old daughter, whose body was found in the fall of 2019 in Nizhny Novgorod after several days of searching. The Investigating Authorities of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Nizhny Novgorod Oblast continue to investigate the criminal case launched in connection with her disappearance. According to preliminary data of the investigation, death occurred as a result of hypothermia.

Mr. Bastrykin A.I., Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, instructed Mr. Akhmetshin A.S., Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, to report on the investigative actions carried out.
