Servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces receive awards and humanitarian aid from the Investigative Committee

On behalf of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Hero of Russia Sergey Vasilyevich Petrov, Head of the Directorate for Educational Work of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, visited the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation units at the places of combat missions performance in the zone of a Special Military Operation on the territory of the Lugansk People's Republic.

On behalf of Mr. Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee, soldiers, sergeants and officers who distinguished themselves in the performance of combat missions were awarded the medals of the Investigative Committee "Valour and Courage".

Addressing all those present, Mr. Sergei Vasilyevich congratulated them on the coming New Year. "What you are doing is very important. We do not doubt our common victory, and we have no doubt that you will be able to protect our children from the Nazis," Mr. S.V. Petrov emphasized.

Mr. S.V. Petrov also handed over a humanitarian cargo to the servicemen, it was arranged by the Officers of the Investigative Committee and their families on a voluntary basis. Officers of the Department approached this issue very responsibly, collecting essentials, warm clothes, and food. They wanted to convey to the fighters not just humanitarian aid, but also the warmth of their native land, the gratitude of their compatriots for their just cause and for their valiant service.

In addition, the servicemen were handed letters from students of Educational Institutions of the Russian Investigative Committee, they read these letters aloud, expressing words of gratitude for believing in their strength, good wishes and congratulations on the upcoming holidays - New Year and Merry Christmas.
