A verdict is adjudicated in a criminal case of attempted murder of Mr. Abraham Rousseau and his bodyguard

The evidence collected by the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation was recognized by the court as sufficient for sentencing Mr. Vitaly Dzhura and Mr. Alexei Tryasnikov. The Court Order was adjudicated on the basis of the jury's verdict. These Defendants are found guilty of the attempted murder of Mr Abraham Rousseau and his bodyguard.

The investigation and the court found that Mr. Telman Ismailov, the former owner of the Cherkizovsky market, organized an attempted murder of the artist Mr. Abraham Rousseau on the basis of personal hostility towards him. In their turn, Messrs. Dzhura and Tryasnikov purchased means of communication to commit the crime, and they also followed Mr. Rousseau to determine his route. On August 19, 2006, Mr. Demkin fired shots at a car on Plyushchikha Street in Moscow, Mr. Rousseau and his security guard were in that car. Mr Rousseau suffered four thigh wounds. After the assassination attempt, Messrs. Dzhura and Tryasnikov hid Mr. Demkin, providing him with clothes and money.
