The Investigating Authorities of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Volgograd Oblast are investigating a criminal case launched in accordance with Part 1, Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inflicting of death by negligence) on the death of a juvenile girl as a result of the private house collapse.

It was preliminary detected that on December 24, 2022, a gas explosion occurred in one of the households along Kovalev Street in the Ilovlya working settlement of Volgograd Oblast, which led to the collapse of the house, resulting in death of 15-year-old girl. The girl's parents were hospitalized with various injuries to a medical facility.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed Mr. V.I. Semyonov, Head of the Investigative Directorate of the ICR for Volgograd Oblast, to report on the progress of the criminal investigation and the circumstances of the minor's death.
