The Investigating Authorities of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Murmansk Oblast are investigating a criminal case in accordance with Part 5, Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of the rules on the road by a person driving a vehicle, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence).

According to the investigation, three young children died on the spot, two adults were hospitalized as a result of a car accident that occurred in the daytime on December 30, 2022 at 1201 km of the P-21 "Kola" highway.

The Chairman of the IC of Russia instructed Mr. Korotkikh A.S., Acting Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Murmansk Oblast, to submit a report on the investigative actions conducted over the criminal case.
