The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia ordered to launch criminal cases following injuries to children resulting from electric scooter accidents in St. Petersburg

The media reported two accidents involving electric scooters hitting minors in St. Petersburg. Yesterday, around five o'clock in the evening, a scooter rider hit a six-year-old boy. The injured child required medical assistance. In the second case, a seven-year-old boy was walking with his sister when he was struck by a person riding an individual mobility device. The child sustained a closed head injury and a concussion.

In response to these accidents, the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for St. Petersburg has organized procedural checks.

The head of the department instructed Acting Head of the Main Investigation Department for St. Petersburg O.V. Bobkov to launch criminal cases and submit a report.
