In the Moscow region, a resident of Mariupol was found guilty of murdering a woman and child in 2016

The evidence gathered by the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region was deemed sufficient by the court to convict Alexander Reznikov. He has been found guilty of the murder of a woman and her young daughter (clauses "a, v, zh" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the RF).

The investigation and the court have established that on September 25, 2016, in the "Teleshevo" DNT of the Dmitrovsky urban district, the accused, during a conflict with his acquaintance, shot her with a traumatic pistol, and then killed her 7-year-old daughter, buried their bodies on the plot, and fled.

Relatives reported the disappearance of the woman and her child to law enforcement. Reznikov was put on the federal wanted list.

In April 2023, Reznikov’s whereabouts were discovered in the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), he was detained and brought to the investigator. During interrogation, the man told the investigator about all the circumstances and motives of his crime.

By the verdict of the Moscow Regional Court, Reznikov was sentenced to 19 years in a high-security correctional colony.
