A criminal case against the former Minister of the Moscow City Government, who headed the Department of Culture, has been initiated

The Main Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee for Moscow has arrested Alexander Kibovsky, the former minister of the Moscow City Government who was the head of the Department of Culture. He was charged with eight counts of accepting bribes (Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the RF) and one count of attempted fraud (Part 3 of Article 30, Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the RF). The investigation is petitioning to place the accused under arrest as a preventive measure.

According to the investigation, Kibovsky facilitated the conclusion of state contracts for commercial organizations in exchange for bribes. In doing that, he acted with other accomplices as part of an organized group. Preliminary findings suggest that the total amount of bribes received exceeds 100 million rubles.

Investigative actions are being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the committed crimes
