A criminal case against a Ukrainian commander, whose criminal actions led to the death of Russian Investigative Committee officers, was sent to court

The Main Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has completed the investigation of the criminal case against Colonel Alexander Kelembet, commander of Ukraine's 107th Rocket Artillery Brigade. He is being charged in absentia with committing a terrorist act (clausw "b," Part 3, Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the RF).

The investigation established that on November 9, 2023, Kelembet was stationed at his brigade's position near the city of Kherson. Acting as part of an organized group, together with individuals from Ukraine's senior military and political leadership, he illegally ordered his subordinates to launch two HIMARS rockets at the city of Skadovsk in the Kherson Region.

As a result of the terrorist act carried out by Kelembet, 10 people were killed and 11 others sustained various injuries. Among the deceased were officers from the military investigative bodies of the Russian Investigative Committee, who were performing their duties by investigating the crimes of the Kyiv regime. The fallen officers were posthumously awarded the Orders of Courage.

The criminal case, with the approved indictment, has been sent to a military court for trial. Kelembet has been placed on an international wanted list.
