Investigation team of the General Investigative Office of the Investigative Committee of the Prosecutor-General’s Office of the Russian Federation has finished all the necessary procedural arrangements on board the MV Arctic Sea in the Atlantic Ocean, 17.5 nautical miles east of Grand Caria Island of Spanish Canary Islands.

These actions were carried out jointly with a team of police and the Maritime Authority of Malta as a flag state.

The Government of Malta as the flag state under which runs the ship Arctic Sea, and the owner of the ship, the company “Arstic Sea LTD Malta”, are notified that the vessel Arctic Sea will be transferred with the participation of the Spanish representatives during the period from 17 to 18 September 2009 in the port Las Palmas on the Grand Caria Island of Spanish Canary Islands.
