Mr. Bastrykin has arrived in Baku with the working visit within framework of the bilateral cooperation between the Russian Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor-General’s Office of the Azerbaijani republic.

The meeting with the Azerbaijan Prosecuto-General Zakir Garalov discussed prospects for the inter-agency cooperation and a possibility of signing of the Agreement on cooperation between the Russian Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor-General’s Office of Azerbaijan. The leaders of both agencies underscored the importance of expansion of international legal ties.

At present the agencies follow the 28 August 2010 Program on Cooperation, which started the formation of Agreements regulating terms of bilateral interaction in investigations of transboundary crimes.
