The Russian Investigative Committee and the Federal Criminal Police Department of Germany signed statement of cooperation

The Russian Investigative Committee delegation led by the Chairman has paid a working visit to Wiesbaden of the Federal Republic of Germany.

During the visit Alexander Basrtrykin and Jörg Zierke signed a joint statement on cooperation between the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and Federal Criminal Police Department of the Federal Republic of Germany (BKA). The statement provides for development of cooperation in various areas. Namely the sides agreed on regular exchange of information on crimes and ways to fight them, on intrastate legal acts, law making, scientific and methodological work, and on use of scientific and technical achievements in investigations. In addition, the Russian and German colleagues agreed to exchange information on investigations into grave and especially grave transnational crimes, particularly into those of terrorist and corruption nature, as well as crimes in economy and high technologies. The international document provides for joint scientific researches into the problems of mutual interest, and working meetings and consultations to work out a single concept.

Within the working visit Mr Bastrykin has also attended the 57th autumn Conference of the German Federal Criminal Police Department timed to the 60th anniversary of the Department and dedicated to the constitutional development and the correlation of freedom and safety.

All meetings of Russian and German colleagues were held in the atmosphere of trust and understanding.
