According to the results of the last procedural inspection, the General Investigative Office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has initiated a criminal case against the Chief of the Office of juvenile affairs of the Internal Affairs Department in Kushchevskaya region, Krasnodar Territory Tatiana Remeskevich and other unidentified officials on the grounds of crime under part 1 of article. 285 of the Criminal Code (abuse of power). The inspection has revealed the fact of concealment by the members of the Kushchevskaya region police of the statements of a young girl's mother that the latter was sexually assaulted.
Investigators found that in 2009 the Chief of the Office of juvenile affairs of the Internal Affairs Department in Kushchevskaya area T. Remeskevich and other officials, having received a notification on the commission of particularly serious crime against a minor against sexual inviolability, and abusing authority, did not take any measures to bring to justice, Vladimir Alekseyev, guilty of this crime. According to investigators Alekseev was a member of an organized criminal group led by Sergei Tsapok.
This concealed crime against a minor in December 2010 was identified by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. It should be noted that the delay in response to report the crime by the police, gives a criminal feeling of impunity and can often lead to a series of other crimes. If the employees of the Internal Affairs Department in Kushchevskaya region had organized inspection and initiated criminal proceedings at the request of the woman, the timely criminal prosecution against Alekseyev, as well as other members of the organized criminal group of Tsapok, in respect of which the inhabitants of Kushchevskaya village also had repeatedly reported to local law machinery, it could have prevented many of the gravest crimes in the area.
Currently investigation and other procedural actions aimed at identification of all the circumstances of the crime and bringing to justice the guilty officials are conducted.
