Alexander Bastrykin met with residents of the Kuban village Kushchevskaya

Today, Acting Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, met with residents of the village Kushchevskaya of Krasnodar Territory. During the meeting he spoke about the criminal investigation into the killing of 12 people committed 5 November 2010. Alexander Bastrykin said that eight people had already been arrested, who according to investigators had been involved in this crime, two more people had been put on the international wanted list, and the court had applied against them in absentia a restraint in the form of custodial placement.

Not only people from the village Kushchevskaya came to the meeting with the Head of Investigative Committee, but also from other nearby districts of Krasnodar Territory and Rostov Region. Together with Alexander Bastrykin in dealing with the public took part the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachev, the Head of the Security Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Vasiliev, the Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee for the South and North Caucasus Federal District Boris Karnaukhov and the Head of the Office of the Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin.

The Head of the Investigative Committee called on the inhabitants of the village Kushchevskaya to assist the investigation and said that they would investigate the crimes committed by local criminal gang over the past decade.

After the meeting with the people, Alexander Bastrykin and his Deputy Boris Karnaukhov began personal reception of citizens, which has recorded more than 180 people. Following the meeting and reception the Chairman of the Investigative Committee will give appropriate instructions to conduct inspections of all information received from citizens.
