Eight members of a criminal group led by Sergei Tsapok are arraigned

The Chief Investigative Office of the Investigative Committee for the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts charged the eight members of a criminal group led by Sergei Tsapok with a felony under paragraphs “a, в, ж”, part 2, article 105 of the Criminal Code (murder committed by a group of people). In respect of two other members of the group the court served a writ to bring them to trial as accused, they are now wanted.

During the investigation into a number of renewed criminal cases, the investigators of the Investigative Committee in conjunction with field officers of the Chief Internal Affairs Office for Krasnodar region, have solved a number of murders and an armed assault on a woman.

Solely by examining - through the use of polygraph (lie detector) – the investigators managed to solve the murder of the Head of municipal administration "Kuschevsky Rayon" Boris Moskvich, committed 31 January 2002. According to investigators, a citizen of Kushchevskaya region, who disagreed with the results of the elections, according to which Boris Moskvich took the post of governor, fired several shots at him in the courtyard of the administration building. In the interests of the investigation the identity of the suspect is not disclosed. It should be noted that this man has no relation to the perpetrators, who had killed 12 people in the village Kushchevskaya.

The investigators have found evidence that members of the criminal group led by Tsapok are involved in very grave crimes committed during the period from 2001 to 2010 in the Krasnodar Territory and Rostov Region.

According to investigators, 16 September 2003 in the village Kushchevskaya of Krasnodar Territory near the house on Zelyonaya Street a 62-year old businessman and his 33-year-old son were murdered. Andrei Bykov and Vitaliy Ivanov, members of criminal group of Sergei Tsapok are suspected of this murder.

In addition, as suggested by the investigators, on Nov. 9, 2008 in the village Kushchevskaya of Krasnodar Territory in the household on the Proletarskaya street, a body of 61-year-old man was found with signs of violent death. Thanks to the professional work of the investigators it became possible to establish involvement in the crime of the three members of an organized group of Tsapok - Vladimir Alekseev, Igor Chernykh and Vitaliy Ivanov.

Also, the investigators managed to obtain evidence of the involvement of Vladimir Alekseev and Sergei Karpenko in murder of two men born in 1993 and 1976, committed on June 28, 2010. According to investigators, the assailants drove to the house on Pereulok Uporniy in Rostov-on-Don and shot a car BMW-7 from the AK-74, causing fatal injuries to two men in the car.

In addition, the investigators solved an armed assault on a woman, committed on Aug. 16, 2010 around 1:00 in the house on the street Svobodnaya in the village Kanelovskaya of Starominsky region of Krasnodar Territory. Sergei Tsapok, Vladimir Alekseev, Igor Chernykh and Sergei Karpenko are suspected of this crime. As follows from the criminal case, the assailants attacked and wounded the victim with skewer, and then stole cash and property worth more than 500,000 rubles.

The investigators assume that Andrei Bykov and Sergei Ryabtsev committed another murder, at the directions of Sergey Tsapok. Assailants were armed with a sawn-off gun and a pistol ПМ.
