Alexander Bastrykin holds an operational meeting with representatives of the Polish security forces who arrived to investigate the crash of a Tu-154 of the Polish President in Smolensk

Alexander Bastrykin, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Prosecutor-General’s Office, has held a meeting to investigate the criminal case launched on the crash of Tu-154 of the Polish President in Smolensk. The meeting was attended by the Heads of the investigative group of the General Investigative Office, law enforcement authorities of the Russian Federation and Poland, as well as professionals involved in the investigation.

Currently the investigators of the General Investigative Office and Criminologists of the Investigative Committee central office are working at the scene. Investigators and prosecutors from Poland are actively involved in the investigatory actions. Along with Russian law enforcement authorities 11 Polish colleagues are working at the crash scene of Tu-154 of the Polish President.
