The General Investigative Office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Moscow region has opened another criminal case against Ivan Nazarov for the crime under part 1 of article 30, part 4, and article 159 of the Criminal Code (attempted fraud).

According to investigators Nazarov, being friendly with the various officials of the Moscow region prosecutor’s office and having information about the inspection conducted by law enforcement agencies against the head of Serpukhov Municipal District Alexander Shestun, in summer 2009 asked him to hand over more than 62 million rubles for the cessation of inspection and required to transfer the rights to the property MUP “Serpukhovskie nedry” for the sum not less than 312 million rubles.

In the near future, the investigators plan to charge Nazarov with this crime. The Head of the Municipal District A. Shestun was recognized as a victim in this case.

Earlier Nazarov was charged with the organization of illegal gambling in the Moscow region.

Currently, the accused Nazarov court has been taken into detention. Investigation of criminal cases continues.
