A criminal case launched in fact of attempt on policemen lives in the Republic of Ingushetia

On April 11, 2011, the republican police officers conducted the specified location operational search activities to identify and arrest members of illegal armed formations. At about 9.30 am several unidentified persons committed an attempt on their lives in forest next to the Muzhichi village in the Sunzhensky district of Ingushetia. One of the attackers detonated an unknown type of explosive device in the struggle. He received hard injuries and died at the scene. Nobody of the the police officers got no harm or been killed. According to this fact, Russia’s Investigative Committee in the Republic of Ingushetia has launched a criminal case in terms of Article 317 (Encroachment on the Life of an Officer of a Law-enforcement Agency), Part 2 under Article 208 (Organization of an Illegal Armed Formation, or Participation in It), Part 3 under Article 222 (Illegal Acquisition, Transfer, Sale, Storage, Transportation, or Bearing of Firearms, Its Basic Parts, Ammunition, Explosives, and Explosive Devices) of the Criminal Code of Russia. Investigators and detective officers inspected the scene of the crime and the body of unknown attacker. They found and confiscated two Kalashnikov 7,62 and 5,45 mm ammunition, improvised explosive devices, F-1 and RGD-5 grenades, an autonomous radiostation, 7 magazine cases with 208 rounds, two mobile phones, topographic maps, Russian passports, driver's license and a student's report book. The investigation is still running. The officers of Russia’s Investigative Committee are taking different measures aimed to establish the circumstances of the crime.
