Contact karate master tournament “Black sashes cup” dedicated to memory of Investigative Committee officers killed on duty took place in Moscow

On 26 May 2012, the second traditional contact karate master tournament “Black sashes cup” dedicated to the memory of Investigative Committee officers killed on duty took place in Sports Martial Arts Palace of the Central Army Sports Club.

The tournament organized and held on the initiative of the investigative bodies’ sports club gathered the best contact karate masters including Europe and World champions, members of Russian national team.

It was the first tournament a representative of the investigation department of the Russian Investigative Committee for Kabardino-Balkaria participated in.

Opening the competition, Assistant to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Lieutenant-General of justice Yuri Lekanov noted that unfortunately, over the time passed from the first tournament the number of the officers killed on duty had doubled and that to pay tribute to firmness and bravery of those killed the similar events would be held from now on.

All the present in Sports Martial Arts Palace commemorated the killed by a silence minute.
