The Central Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee in close co-operation with field officers of Interior Ministry Central Department for Moscow continue to identify and detain active participants of mass riots on Bolotnaya ploshchad in Moscow using violence against policemen.
Today, within the framework of the criminal case initiated over crimes under part 1, 2, 3 of article 212 (mass riots) and part 1 of article 318 of the RF Criminal Code (use of violence against a representative of the authority), unemployed Andrey Barabanov and previously convicted Maksim Luzyanin have been detained as suspects. Lusyanin is co-owners of a number of enterprises in the Moscow region and a co-founder of a restaurant also in Moscow region.
According to investigators, the suspects during events of 6 May broke through police cordon, kicked and beat the policemen and used submission locks against them.
At present, the investigators are working on the suspects. The question of restraint is being discussed. Investigators of the Russian Investigative Committee and officers of the Interior Ministry Central Department for Moscow continue to identify other participants of mass riots.
