Suspect in attempted murder of State Duma ex-deputy’s son identified and apprehended in Moscow

On 27 May 2012, the investigative bodies of the Russian Investigative Committee in Moscow city apprehended a Dagestan native Gadzhimurad Abdullayev, 33 years of age, suspected of attempted murder of Murtuz Khchilayev and infliction of a grave injury entailing death of Shamil Ichalov. When apprehended the suspect had an MP gun with 9 cartridges of 9 mm and 7 cellphones with SIMs.

According to the investigators, at night of 24 May, near one of the houses on Balaklavsky prospekt the men quarreled because of personal dislike evoked by the statements about Khachilayev’s father made by Abdullayev in the Internet. Abdullayev shot the victims and fled the incident scene. Khachilayev sustained a shotgun to his stomach, and Ichalov – to his thigh. Not gaining conscious Ichalov died of the wound the same day.

The investigative bodies of the Russian Investigative Committee in Moscow city have already brought charges against Abdullayev in the crimes under part 3 of article 30, part 1 of article 105 (attempted murder), part 4 of article 111 (intentional infliction of a grave injury involving the death of the victim by negligence) and part 1 of article 222 of the RF Criminal Code (illegal acquisition of firearms). The accused has been put into custody. The investigation is to be continued.
