In the course of investigation of criminal case over Anna Politkovskaya assassination, Dmitry Pavlyuchenkov and his lawyer Karen Narsisyan filed a motion to change the restrained impose by the court from custody to house arrest due to chronic serious diseases of the accused.

The investigators upheld the motion and filed a motion to Moscow Basmanny court to change the restraint for Pavlyuchenkov to house arrest.
