On 6 June 2012, International workshop “Questions of law enforcement in combating corruption crimes” organized by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation started its work in Oryol.

The workshop is attended by Deputy Chairperson of the Investigative Committee of Russia Yelena Leonenko, Deputy Chairman of Executive Council – CIS Executive Secretary Toktasyn Buzubaev, Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Shved, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurmakhanbet Isaev, Chief of Corruption Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine Eduard Tomin, Head of the Department of Investigation Directorate of the State National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan Midil Baktygulov, Prosecutor for Inner Security Service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan Asad Aliev, Deputy Chairman of the Economic and Corruption Crime Agency of the republic of Kazakhstan Marat Akhmetzhanov, Deputy Chief of Investigation Department of FSB of Russia Vyacheslav Khokhlov, representatives of Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, employees of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, heads of territorial bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

During the workshop, which will last until 7 June 2012, the participants are going to discuss ways and methods of cooperation between the investigative bodies of the Russian Investigative Committee and law enforcement bodies of CIS countries carrying out investigation and search operations and preliminary investigations of corruption crime cases.

In general the workshop is designed to improve the competence of law enforcement employees of CIS, exchange of experience, and consolidation of international cooperation in this area. The materials of the workshop are going to be used in investigation corruption crimes in CIS countries.
