In Northwestern federal district investigation of criminal case against 19 members of gang finishing

The Northwestern Federal District Investigation Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee is finishing investigation into criminal case over criminal activity of an organized group who committed in 2009-2011 a number of grave and especially grave crimes in the territory of Saint-Petersburg, the Leningrad and Pskov regions.

According to investigators, in 2009, Andrei Gulevich organized a criminal group mostly of residents of Gatchinsky district of the Leningrad region. The group’s objective was to assault citizens and organizations and to steal another’s property. The investigators have established 15 facts of crimes by the group, including robbery of healthcare facilities in Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad region, to steal expensive medications, as well as assault of the Mussorgsky museum country estate in the Kunynsky district of the Pskov region to steal some of the exhibits.

19 persons have been prosecuted. In the near future the investigators are going to bring final charges against the suspects, including of banditry, after which victims and the accused will start reading the files of the case.
