Two more suspects of participation in Bolotnaya Ploshchad riots detained

The Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigation Committee within the framework of criminal case over mass riots and violence against representatives of the authority on 6 May on Bolotnaya Ploshchad in Moscow, with the active assistance from officials of the Moscow Main Directorate of Russia’s Interior Ministry have detained as suspects Denis Lutskevich, born 1992, and Yaroslav Belousov, born 1971.

According to investigators, they are suspected of crimes under part 2 of article 212 and part 1 of article 318 of the Russian Federation Criminal Code (participation in mass riots and use of violence against representatives of the authority). According to information of the investigators, Lutskevich and Belousov were throwing stones and pieces of asphalt, breaking through the police cordon and beating the representatives of the authority. During the search a laptop computer, a traumatic gun and clothes he was wearing at the rally have been seized from Lutskevich’s flat. In the pocket of the seized shorts the investigators found a Swiss knife.

Earlier within the framework of this case 5 more people were detained: Alexandra Dukhanina, Andrey Barabanov and Maksim Luzyanin, who have already been brought to charges, Mikhail Kosenko and Stepan Zimin, against who the investigators are going to file an arrest request today.

The investigators are going to bring to justice all organizers and participants of mass riots and those using violence against representatives of the authority during “March of Millions” on 6 May on Bolotnaya Ploshchad in Moscow.
