Three more people arrested in case of Viktor Kanteev, Vice-Mayor of Yekaterinburg

The Urals Federal District Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigation of criminal case against Vice-Mayor of Yekaterinburg Viktor Kanteev accused of crimes under articles 105, 163, 290, 174¹ (murder, extortion, bribe-taking, money-laundering).

Within the framework of investigation of criminal case over extortion of rights for the property from the director of OOO Prodovolstvennaya baza No 4 (Ltd.), persons from Kanteev’s close circle have been detained. They are top managers of commercial organizations OOO Uraltorgsnab (Ltd.), OOO Premium (Ltd.), OOO Plodoovoshchnaya baza (Ltd.): Natalya Denisenkova, Anrey Belomestnov and Nadezhda Soldatova.

All of them are charged with crimes under paragraphs “a”, “b” of part 3 of article 163 and part 3 of article 174¹ of the RF Criminal Code (extortion and money-laundering) and at the request of investigators taken into custody.

Investigators with the support of the Urals Federal District Main Directorate of the Interior Ministry searched in homes and offices of the said individuals.

Vice-Mayor Kanteev’s wife – Larisa Kanteeva – has been put on the federal wanted list, commissioned to the Urals Federal District Main Directorate of the Interior Ministry. Investigation of the criminal case is to be continued.
