Russia’s Investigative Committee held theoretical and practical conference in area of investigation of economic crimes committed by organized groups

An International theoretical and practical conference on the topic: “Investigation of economic (financial) crimes committed by organized criminal groups (international organized criminal groups)” was held in the Russia’s Investigative Committee.

Among officials of the Investigative Committee, representatives of law enforcement bodies and institutions of higher education of Russia the Conference was attended by the delegation of law enforcement bodies of the French Republic. The delegation included Director of the National Institute of the Higher Studies in Security and Justice of the French Republic André-Michel Ventre, Diplomatic Advisor of the Institute Director Lionel Majeste-Larui, Prosecutor of the French Republic in the Superior Court of Marseilles Jacques Dallest and other officials.

First Deputy Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee Vasily Piskarev and the leader of the French delegation André-Michel Ventre made welcoming speeches. They outlined the main objectives of the Conference, problematic issues of mutual interest to be discussed.

The participants stated the great practical significance of the event for the two parties. The parties also stressed that the Conference would make for more efficient and competent countering economic crimes committed by international organized criminal groups.

Along with that the parties noted the positive dynamics of the cooperation with the Russia’s Investigation Committee and competent bodies of France as well as the necessity of further consolidation of mutual cooperation in the area of counter-crime.
