A meeting of Deputy Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee Vasily Piskarev and deputies of Internal Affairs Committee of Bundestag has been held in the Russian Investigative Committee. The meeting was attended by heads of Main Directorates of Investigative Committee and employees of consular-legal department of FRG Embassy in Russia.
It was noted at the meeting that the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation closely cooperates with FRG competent bodies in the area of criminal proceedings. The main partners are the Federal Department of Criminal Police of FRG and Customs Criminal Office of FRG. However it was the first meeting of the Investigative Committee leadership and representatives of legislative authority of Germany.
During the meeting the German colleagues got exhaustive information on the activity of the Investigative Committee, its structure and place in the system of law enforcement bodies. The parties exchanged opinions on the deputy’s immunity and studied the certain examples of deprivation of such immunity in case of criminal actions.
In addition, the German delegation was interested in the work of the Investigative Committee with citizens’ applications, organization of hotline and personal reception of citizens by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee. Mr Piskarev explained these subjects in detail, mentioning about growing trust of citizens toward the Investigative Committee and its officers.
As a result of the constructive conversation the parties expressed interest in future cooperation.
