It should be noted that the children had not attended kindergarten, but were brought up by Ryabkova on her own. Investigators also found that the family had moved several years ago to Moscow from Volgograd and in general was characterized positively, but the suspect in the near future had been planning to divorce her husband and before the wedding had tried to kill herself.

The suspect is arrested and in the near future investigators are going to request for her arrest. A number of expertise are arranged. An in-hospital psychologo-psychiatric expertise will be set up for Ryabkova. Investigation is to be continued.

The priority area of the Investigative Committee’s activity is not only investigation of crimes against children, but also prevention of such crimes. Within the framework of the investigation, the investigators by all means will submit to appropriate bodies and institutions documents on elimination of causes and circumstances conducive to this crime.
