Islam Yandiev is also accused of plotting a terrorist attack (part 1 of article 30, article 205).

According to investigators, on 24 January 2011 at about 4:30 p.m. in foreign airlines arrivals area of Domodedovo international airport Magomed Yevloev, 21, set off a hand-made explosive devise stick to his belt of 3 to 5 kg of TNT and fitted with numerous cylindrical rollers and ball bearings as a striking element. The explosion killed 37 and injured 172 Russian and foreign citizens. The investigators suppose that the attack was organized by a leader of a criminal organization “Imarat Kavkaz” Doku Umarov, subordinate to whom was the gang led by Aslan Byutukaev and Supyan Abdullaev who chose and trained a suicide bomber Magomed Yevloev. A total of about 35 people were in the gang. On 28 March 2011 as a result of a special operation in the Ingush republic the rebel camp was destroyed and 17 bandits were killed on the spot. Search and investigation operations have helped to identify a total of 28 members of “Imarat Kavkaz” involved in organization and implementation of the terrorist attack in Domodedovo airport, four of them were detained and arrested. Umarov, Byutukaev, Rustam Altemirov, Zaurbek Amriev, Mikail Bogatyryov, Islam Yevloev and Ibragim Torshkhoev are wanted. They were charged in absentia with grave and especially grave crimes of terrorist nature. Investigators are checking the information that the accused Altemirov and Amriev were killed in Stanbul on 16 September 2011.

Investigators have carried out more than 600 expertise, including linguistic, psychological and psychiatric, photo portrait, explosive-technical, biological, no less than 400 forensic medical examinations. Thanks to photo portrait and linguistic expertise it was possible to prove that it was Doku Umarov who ordered the suicide bomber Magomed Yevloev to go to Moscow for a terrorist attack.

At present the accused and their lawyers have started to read the files of the case.

Investigation of a criminal case against organizers of the terrorist attack in Domodedovo airport Doku Umarov, Aslan Byutukaev and others is to be continued.
