Kabardino-Balkaria investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have initiated a criminal case against the Head of Kabardino-Balkaria Federal Treasury of the Russian Federation Leonid Zrumov. He is suspected of a crime under paragraph “b” of part 2 of article 285.1 of the RF Criminal Code (spending of budgetary funds on wrong purposes on especially large scale).

According to investigators in 2009 Kabardino-Balkaria office of the Federal Treasury under falsified documents received more than 19.8 million rubles from the federal budget and unlawfully spent on the major repair of a building at non-existent address.

At present search and investigation operations are under way to establish all circumstances of the crime. Investigation is to be continued.
