One more suspect of killing Roman Dumbadze charged in Moscow

Moscow main Investigations Directorate of Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigation of a criminal case over murder of Roman Dumbadze.

According to investigators, Roman Dumbadze was shot dead presumably from PSM pistol on 21 May 2012 at about 3 p.m. near №30 on Rublevskoye shosse. The attackers fled the crime scene on a motorbike.

Within the framework of inquiry, investigators in conjunction with field officers of Moscow crime detection department had earlier held tree Georgian nationals - possible perpetrators of the crime. At present necessary investigation operations are being run against the three members of an armed group. They have already been charged with a murder and illegal handling of firearms. All of them are held in custody. According to investigators, members of criminal group were hired and are involved in a number of other especially grave crimes in Moscow region.

On 24 July 2012 investigators apprehended a 25-year-old accomplice of the accused, who is also a Georgian national. Investigators assume that for a certain fee he brought to the crime scene the weapon from which Dumbadze was later killed. During investigation operations the suspect confirmed circumstances of the murder already known to investigators. Investigators have charged him with murder and illegal handling of firearms. In the near future investigators are going to petition for custody.
