Stavropol Territory investigating bodies of Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigating a criminal case over missing 9-year-old Anna Prokopenko on the signs of a crime under paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 105 of RF Criminal Code (murder).
According to investigators, on 23 July at about 3 p.m. Anna left her home to the courtyard of №2 “a” on Pushkinskaya street in Pyatigorsk to have a walk and never came back.
Today during search and investigation operations the dead body of Anna Prokopenko with signs of strangulation was found on Mashuk mountain in the town of Pyatigorsk. According to preliminary opinion of a medical forensic expert the girl had been dead for at least 24 hours before the body was found.
At present an identikit has been made of a man seen with the girl on the day she got missed. Investigators ask all people who recognized the man to report on the phone 8-962-441-02-21 or 02.
