Criminal case opened over sexual violence against 9-year-old Anna Prokopenko whose body was found near Mashuk mountain in Pyatigorsk

Stavropol Territory investigating bodies of Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigating a criminal case over missing 9-year-old Anna Prokopenko on the signs of a crime under paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 105 of RF Criminal Code (murder).

Medical forensic expertise has showed signs of lifetime sexual violence against the girl. Therefore, investigators have initiated one more criminal case over crimes under paragraph “b” of part 4 of article 131 (rape) and paragraph “b” of part 4 of article 132 (violent sexual actions). This case is included in the one opened earlier.

Investigators, criminologists and experienced specialists continue working in Pyatigorsk. All their efforts are foucused to find the identity and whereabouts of a man who committed these savage crimes against the small girl.
