In Dagestan criminal case opened against servicemen shot seven people

315th Military Investigations Department of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case over murder of 7 people by a soldier - a crime under paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 105 of the Russian Federation Criminal Code (murder of two or more persons).

According to investigators, on 28 August this year at 10 a.m. Aliev took up a daily duty, for that he had received an automatic gun AK-47 and 2 magazines with 50 cartridges. At about 4 p.m. the soldier walked up to the checkpoint and without obvious reasons shot at the servicemen no less than 30 times. 2 people were killed, 2 – wounded. Then Aliev proceeded to the base of SOBR (Special Quick Response Squad) of the Special Purpose Center of Altai Territory Main Directorate of the Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, where he as well shot many times at policemen – 5 of them were killed and 4 were wounded. The policemen killed Aliev.

The wounded were delivered to Derbent Central Hospital.

Investigation group immediately set off for the incident site. The specialists have examined the bodies, assigned 8 medical forensic examinations and questioned 16 witnesses. By daylight investigators-criminologists led by Deputy Head of the South Federal District Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee started additional examination of the scene.

At present search and investigation operations are under way to find out all the circumstances of the crimes. Investigation is to be continued.
