Lawyers summoned for interrogate in case of mass riots on Bolotnaya Ploshchad

Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have summoned a number of witnesses for interrogation within the framework of the criminal case over organization of and participation in the mass riots, accompanied by violence, calls for and use of violence against policemen on Bolotnaya Ploshchad and nearby areas in Moscow on 6 May 2012 (parts 1, 2, 3 of article 212 and part 1 of article 318 of the Russian Federation Criminal Code).

Namely, investigators have information that one of the organizers of mass riots on Bolotnaya Ploshchad was a lawyer of the Moscow Bar Sodeystvie (Assistance) Yelena Lukyanova. Accordingly she might have information on its plotting, organization and course. Investigators could not question her earlier as she was abroad.

In addition, investigators have found out that on 6 May a lawyer Mark Feygin, being on the scene on Bolotnaya Ploshchad said to the protesters about sitting strike near the cinema Udarnik and called for the citizens to join it. These actions of Feygin were registered by the video cameras the record of which the investigators have.
