In Penza Region investigation against former regional Minister of Agriculture finished

Penza Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have completed investigation of a criminal case against former Deputy Chairman of Government – Minister of Agriculture of Penza Region. He is charged with two criminal episodes of large-scale bribery-taking (paragraph “c” of part 5 of article 290 of the Russian Federation Criminal Code).

According to investigators, on 20 March 2012 the accused being in his car in Penzensky district of Penza Region received from a director of a firm a bribe of 200 thousand rubles for general patronage and illegal actions in the interests of the commercial structure in solving issues relating to business activity including during conclusion and implementation of agreements on joint activity in production of vegetable. At the moment of receiving a bribe the accused was detained by agents of regional directorates of Federal Security Service and Investigative Committee. During the investigation the fact that the accused received in 2011 one more bribe of 400 thousand rubles from the director of the above mentioned firm for the same services in the interests of the firm was revealed and proved.

At present there are enough evidence collected the case is therefore forwarded for the indictment to be approved and further will be forwarded to the court.
