Novosibirsk Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigating a criminal case initiated over a murder of a small girl – a crime under paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 105 of the Russian Federation Criminal Code.
According to investigators, at the end of 2011 a woman from Novosibirsk with her daughter of 2011 year of birth came to her sister, who lived in a private house in Bolotinsky district of Novosibirsk Region. On 16 September 2012, the owner of the house, her sister and other guests from Novosibirsk drank alcohol. After that they took a walk. The girl remained in the house with a heavily drunken man. On their return the guests found the child dead.
At night of 18 September 2012 a man of 1974 year of birth who had stayed with the girl in the house while the mother was taking a walk was detained as a result of joint investigation operations of Novosibirsk Region Investigations Directorate and Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The suspect confessed that he had killed a child by stabbing her no less than one hundred times to cover up another crime – rape. After that he had put the body near a dog in the same room to make it look like the girl had died of bites.
At present, investigation operations are under way to establish all circumstances of the crime. The question of putting the suspect into custody and charging him with especially serious crimes is under discussion. Investigation is to be continued.
