In Tatarstan Republic investigation of criminal case against eight former policemen of Dalny police station completed

Tatarstan Republic investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have completed investigating a criminal case against nine former policemen of Dalny police station. They are former Deputy Chief of Crime Detection Department Almaz Vasilov, 25, Chief of Crime Detection Department Aynur Akhmatullin, 31, Chief of criminal militia, Deputy Chief of Police Department Fail Sabirzyanov, 26, police operatives Ramil Akhmetzyanov, 25, Ilnar Ibatullin, 24, Amir Sharafullin, 29, Alexander Fadeyev, 28, Dmitry Vasilyev, 23. Criminal proceedings against the ninth person – former Chief of Dalny police station Ilgiz Akhmetzyanov, 45, was severed in a separate law suit in connection with his illness.

Nine former policemen are charged with crimes under article 286 of the Russian Federation Criminal Code (exceeding official powers). In addition, Akhmetzyanov, Vasilov, Ibatullin and Sabirzyanov are charged with crimes under part 4 of article 111 of the Russian Federation Criminal Code (grave injury entailing death of the victim). No one of former policemen pleaded guilty. The court under the petition of the investigators put the accused into custody. Two more of the accused are under written undertaking not to live place and behave properly.

During the investigation there were 87 examinations carried out, more than 200 witnesses were interviewed. 17 criminal cases with 13 victims are combined into one lawsuit. At present the victims are reading the files of the case.

In addition, we remind that at present the court is listening to a case against former district police officers of Dalny police station – Ilshat Garifullin, 25 and Ramil Nigmatzyanov, 37 – charged with crimes under part 1 of article 286 (exceeding official powers) and part 2 of article 292 of the Russian Federation Criminal Code (official forgery).
