Following the results of studying additional materials got during procedural check in relation to spreading in social networks and a number of media a video featuring a group beating of a teenager in the town of Novomoskovsk, the Tula Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have initiated a criminal case over attempted murder of a minor (part 3 of article 30, paragraph “g” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Criminal Code).

On 19 September one of the network publications spread a video showing a group of young people beating one of their acquaintances. According to media sources the brawl was taking place in front of a 13-year-old girl who was not even trying to stop the conflict, but on the contrary was encouraging the violence.

At present necessary investigating operations are under way to establish place, time and witnesses of the events recorded on the video, and to find the persons involved. Other investigating operations are also under way to establish all the circumstances of the incident. Investigation of the case is taken under special control by Central Office of the Russia’s Investigative Committee.
