Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District-Yugra investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigating a criminal case initiated over signs of a crime under part 3 of article 217 of the RF Criminal Code (Violation of safety rules in explosive facilities which has entailed through negligence the death of two or more persons).

At present, the first suspect has been detained – it is CEO of OOO Invest-Oil (LC). The issue of putting the suspect into custody is being negotiated.

Besides, the investigators have established other persons involved in this crime.

We remind that, the fire occurred on 29 September 2012, at 11:50 a.m. at the oil slam processing floor of OOO Invest-Oil. The fire killed 8 people, 9 were injured.

Investigators have assigned a number of forensic examinations, witnesses and persons responsible for fire safety at the enterprise are being interrogated to establish the causes of the fire.
