Pre-investigating check launched in Bashkortostan over crash of single-engine plane

Today, about 9:05 AM, a single-engine plane H-32 Bekas, hull number 1264J piloted by a pilot born in 1979 and carrying a passenger born in 1997 fell into the lake near the village of Ilmurzino, Kushnarenkovsky district in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The pilot and the passenger died in the accident. The investigating bodies of the Volga Transport Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a pre-investigative check into the accident.

According to preliminary data, the pilot tried to make a flight maneuver not characteristic of that type of an aircraft. It was an outing flight. The owner of the plane is Ufa methodological center of small aircrafts registered at Pervushino airfield. The preliminary cause of crash is a pilot’s mistake.

An investigating group is working at the scene at the moment to find all the circumstances of the crash. A procedural decision will be made following the check.
