Chancellor of management and Law Institute put on trial in Moscow for organizing hired murder

Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has finished investigating a criminal case against the 72-year-old chancellor of Management and law Institute Ivan Aleksandrov. He is charged with a crime under part 3 of article 33, part 1 of article 30, paragraph “h” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Criminal Code (organization of a hired murder).

According to investigators, in the second half of January 2013, Aleksandrov motivated by personal dislike of the co-founder of Management and Law Institute based on the disagreement over the management of the institution decided to organize his killing. He found a killer for a fee of 2 million rubles. Not being aware that the “killer” was an operative agent of the internal affair bodies and taking part in the operation, Aleksandrov supplied him with addresses of victim’s home and places he spent time in, his cell phone number and the plate number of his car, agreed on the time of killing and means of concealment. On February 6, 2013, Aleksandrov got a report from the “killer” that the order had been executed and gave the operative agent a part of the stipulated sum of 500 thousand rubles, after that he was apprehended.

The investigators have gathered enough evidence, therefore the criminal case with the approved indictment has been forwarded to court to be tried on the merits.
