Criminal proceedings started in Gus-Khrustalny, Vladimir Region, over non-rendering medical aid to an injured woman

Vladimir Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have initiated criminal proceedings based on results of a pre-investigation check over refusal of employees of Gus-Khrustalny emergency aid station to render medical care and leaving in danger a 48-year-old local woman – signs of a crime under article 125 of the RF Criminal Code.

It has been established that on 14 September 2012, around 6 p.m. a group of underage children found in the premises of school No.7 found a woman with multiple injuries to her head and body, who was in need of emergency medical care.

During 20 minutes the teenagers called in the emergency medical service, calling paramedics to the incident scene and stating that the woman was alive, but unconscious. Despite the messages and their official duties paramedics did not attended the call, leaving the injured in a state dangerous for her life and health.

A dispatcher of emergency medical service sent an ambulance only after the call from a police station almost 40 minutes later. Several hours later the injured woman died in a hospital of a brain injury.

At present all the circumstances of the crime and persons involved are being established. Investigation is to be continued.
