In Krasnoyarsk policeman held on suspicions of stabbing his colleague suspected of double murder

On 20 November, around 5 a.m., law enforcement bodies received a message that a policemen with multiple stab wounds had been delivered to the resuscitation department of Krasnoyarsk Territory Hospital. Krasnoyarsk Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched criminal proceedings against police sergeant of police station No. 5 of “Krasnoyarskoye” Municipal Directorate of Ministry of Internal Affairs Vladimir Ten, 30. He is suspected of a crime under part 1 of article 111 of the RF Criminal Code (infliction of grave injury to victim’s health).

According to preliminary version of the investigators, on 20 November 2012, at night, the policeman being off service and under alcoholic intoxication, in the apartment of his colleague, during an argument stabbed him more than 10 times.

During interrogation of the suspect, due to a contact set by the investigator with the policeman, information was received on his involvement into murder of two homeless persons. As it was reported earlier, on 19 November 2012, bodies of a man and a woman with many stab wounds were found in refuse collection building. Ten said that the motive was dislike for asocial persons. During primary investigating operations the suspect’s testimonies were confirmed. The knife, which he said he had used for a crime, was seized from his apartment.

At present the question of placing the suspect into custody as a pretrial restraining measure is under discussion. A number of investigating and search operations are underway to establish all circumstances of the crimes. Investigation is to be continued.
