On September 20, 2013, about 5 PM, military men of the Russian Interior Ministry were blown up by unidentified explosive devices during an investigating and search operation in mountainous and wooded area at the administrative border between the Chechen Republic and the Republic of Ingushetia. One of the military men was killed and another one was delivered to the hospital.

The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in the Chechen Republic have started a criminal investigation into the signs of crimes under article 317, part 2 of article 222 of the RF Criminal Code (encroachment on the life of law enforcement agents and illegal circulation of weapons).

At present investigating operations are underway to find all the circumstances of the crime. Investigation is ongoing.
